The areas we will be covering in the session are:

  1. Recap of revised standards or guidance already applicable
    a. ISA 600 (Revised) – Special considerations – Audits of group financial statements (including the work of component auditors)
    b. ISA 315 (Revised) – Identifying and assessing the risk of material misstatement
    c. ISA 540 (Revised) – Auditing accounting estimates and related disclosures
    d. Quality Management Standards
    e. IRBA rule – Enhanced auditor reporting for audits of financial statements of public interest entities (PIEs)
    f. Revisions related to technology in the IRBA Code of Professional Conduct for registered auditors

  2. Standards or guidance becoming effective
    a. Revisions to the definitions of a listed entity and of public interest entities (PIEs) in the IRBA Code of Professional Conduct for registered auditors
    b. IRBA’s four rules issued under the International Standards on Quality Management
    c. SAAPS 7 – Transparency reports of firms that audit financial statements of publicly traded entities
