Course outline
The long wait for the amended IFRS for SMEs standard is almost over. Planning on issuing the third edition of the Standard early in 2025 entities should start to familiarise themselves with the latest changes and how it is going to affect them.
This session explores some of the significant changes made to the Standard including some of the latest developments in the IASB deliberation process after various feedback from stakeholders were received on the exposure draft.

The areas we will be covering in the session are:
- An overview of the major improvements and changes proposed to the third edition of IFRSM for SMEs.
- Highlighting some of the key tentative decisions the IASB has taken on some of the amendments, based on stakeholder feedback.
- The addendum exposure draft issued and feedback on the IASB’s tentative decisions on the proposed changes
